The Africotta Original Subway is a fresh take on the classic Subway tile, combining its familiar shape with the handcrafted character of Africotta. Its 235 × 60 mm format creates a clean, versatile look that works beautifully across both walls and floors.
Available in all 12 Africotta colours, the Original Subway can be used in a single colour or combined with different shades to create warm, layered designs.

Color Combination (Inspiration)
Mixing colours allows you to create different moods and levels of contrast.
Copper Terracotta + Charcoal creates a warm, rich look with strong contrast, while Copper Terracotta Light + African Ash gives a softer, sun-washed feel. Using all four together creates a warm, earthy combination with plenty of depth.

Tiles can be enhanced using a natural oiling process (50/50 boiled linseed oil and turpentine), allowing for:

Material & Craftsmanship
Africotta Original Subway tiles are made from cement, sand, and stone (not fired clay) and are hand-cast in moulds rather than baked.
